McDuel is a server in the Survival gamemode with a 10,000x10,000 world border. Other than spawn there are no protected areas and no way to protect your valuables from thieves. Because of this, it is fair game for anyone to interact with, build, destroy and steal whatever they like.
Being in Survival, this means that you will need to gather resources yourself and build up your own base without the help of kits, crates, keys, protections or land claims. Just like survival singleplayer. But in multiplayer, with danger around every corner.
Soup PvP
McDuel is a Soup PvP server. This is essentially a plugin that allows you to instantly heal 3.5 health and hunger using mushroom stew. Which also means that having a constant supply of mushroom stew is vital to gameplay and pvp. Because it may be difficult to secure a constant stream of soup when starting out, we've decided to give you a moshroom spawn egg as a starter kit. Guard it well, as you will only be given one.
1.8 Combat
The Server is set to the 1.8 combat system, with the biggest difference to newer versions being that there is no attack cooldown. The full list of mechanics include the following:
Homes
Because walking long distances is fun for no one, we provide you with the ability to set private homes. This means you can save a location and teleport to it whenever you like. The command is "/sethome" or "/sethome [name]"
Teams
Teams are similar to factions, but without the ability to claim and protect land. It allows you to create teams together with your friends where you can share locations, avoid friendly fire, chat privately in team chat and have lots of fun together!
Having a team will also help you become more immersed in the community.
The base commands are "/team" or "/t" to bring up the help menu. These can be used interchangeably.
Gold Economy
Our gold economy works in the same way as the free market in real life. Instead of prices being set by Admins and buying or selling items direcly to the server, players do so from each other with prices set by others. In order for you to be able to purchase an item someone else must have sold it first. When you then purchase that item, the player who sold it will receive payment. The currency used is gold ingots, which can be deposited into your balance with the "/deposit [amount]" command. To view the help menu use the "/eco" command.
